Since Sister Teresa retired this past summer, our parish reached out to Sterling House In Stratford to see how we can support their amazing outreach efforts. This is the first year that we were able to support their Christmas toy drive &  everyone went above & beyond!!! They have 100 families that qualify below poverty level that they work with all year long.The local fire dept and EMS dress up  as Santa or an Elf and personally deliver to these families.  In addition, they create a store to let other families that they help just at Christmas to shop for their children or grandchildren extending their service into Bridgeport.This year they will be able to help families with special needs adults who still use toys but are above the age where most charities allow donations.
