The St. Francis Knights of Columbus council was only one of two councils to receive such a high award of the 200 councils of Connecticut.
Each medallion represents excellence in:
charity/ service to church and community
membership growth (400% of quota)
promotion of Knights financial products.
This is a yearly award that the Knights all worked very hard for. Hundreds of hours of service to St. Francis church and surrounding community. Thousands of dollars of direct charity to local food pantries, soup kitchens and new and used coats drives. They also put on a men's spiritual program and are planning a Knights of Columbus "Into the Breach" spiritual program in a few months.
Knights have volunteered for hundreds of hours of ushering. Helping Fr. Jeff, Fr. Joe and Fr. Paul provide safe masses while many area churches have temporarily closed.
Congratulations to Michael Purdy, our Grand Knight, and all our Knights at St. Francis for their excellent work and dedication.
