Food insecurity continues as one of the most lasting problems of this pandemic. 6 out of 10 Americans have faced food insecurity at some point in their lives. 73% have experienced this for the first time during the pandemic. It's time to help out our neighbors in need. St Francis will host a
DRIVE BY FOOD DRIVE on
Saturday, June 5th from 9 AM - 12 Noon in our parking lot. Our last Food Drive in March was a huge success and the outpouring help from all of you was amazing!! My hope is that we can fill both the pantry and the shelter before summer comes and many of us travel again.
Simply load your non-perishable food donations in your trunk. Stop by and let our Knights of Columbus unload for you. All donations will be delivered immediately after the drive to the Weston Food Pantry and the Open Door Shelter in Norwalk.
You can also drop off food in the back of the church anytime before June 5th.
Any non-perishable food, paper goods or pet food can be accepted. Protein options are always in need like peanut butter, canned chicken/tuna, canned chili/sloppy joe, and breakfast options like cereal, pancake mix, and fruit cups.
Thank you for serving others and making a difference!
