Bishop Caggiano's Update
MARCH 11, 2020: "In compliance with the School and State health recommendations, effective immediately, our preschool, religious education and youth group programs are suspended indefinitely." - FR. JEFF
FROM FR. JEFF: I'm writing to remind you how important it is to pray for those who are affected by the Coronavirus. We encourage everyone in our parish community to pray for a quick resolution.
In addition to the steps St. Francis is taking listed here:
Church pews, door handles, railings, bathrooms, etc. are disinfected daily.
All visitors coming to the facilities must sanitize/wash hands entering and leaving facilities, and any time as needed.
Suspension of offering the Precious Blood at all masses.
The Sign of Peace is omitted.
No hand holding during the Our Father.
We are implementing these recommendations from the Bishop:
Encouraging people to not receive Communion by the tongue.
Holy Water fonts will be emptied and sanitized.
Clergy will not visit health care facilities and homes unless there is an emergency.
